A new venture capital fund based in Williamson County is aiming to raise $100 million to invest in health technology companies.

The firm is called Caduceus Capital Partners and is being led by David Vreeland and Scott Kolesar. Both are leaders at Nashville-based venture capital fund Jumpstart Capital. Vreeland said Caduceus has essentially the same DNA as Jumpstart Capital — and the same leadership team — but it’s a new brand and is not owned by Jumpstart Capital parent company Briovation.
